两个多月前，安阳殷墟博物馆新馆正式开馆。遥遥望去，新馆造型颇具巧思——鼎形的建筑矗立水畔，古铜色的大门，青铜饰面为幕墙，“大邑商”仿佛从3000年前款款走来。
3300多年前，商王朝建都安阳小屯村一带。随着商王朝的灭亡，商都逐渐荒废，变成废墟被淹没地下，史称“殷墟”。
“殷墟我向往已久，这次来是想更深地学习理解中华文明，古为今用，为更好建设中华民族现代文明提供借鉴。”2022年10月28日，习近平总书记来到这里，仔细观摩青铜器、玉器、甲骨文等出土文物，察看商代畜力车实物标本和道路遗迹。
殷墟遗址位于河南安阳市西北郊，是我国历史上第一个文献可考、为考古发掘所证实的商代晚期都城遗址，也是中国考古发掘时间最长、次数最多、面积最大的古代都城遗址。2006年7月，殷墟作为中国20世纪百项考古大发现之首，被联合国教科文组织列入世界文化遗产名录。
在殷墟诸多考古发现中，甲骨文是重中之重。
3000多年前的一天，商王带领他的军队浩浩荡荡去召塞巡视。他们进入麦山山麓，捕获到一只长有锋利尖角的猛兽——兕(sì)。商王对下属官员“亚”进行了赏赐，并将此事用文字记录下来，同时镶嵌上珍贵的绿松石。于是在殷墟博物馆新馆中，便有了我国博物馆现存唯一一件文字镶嵌绿松石的甲骨。
一片甲骨，一些符号，让我们触摸到了3000多年前的中国。习近平总书记在殷墟考察时指出：“殷墟出土的甲骨文为我们保存3000年前的文字，把中国信史向上推进了约1000年。”
中国信史，记载真实可靠的中国历史。从120多年前发现的第一片甲骨，到目前的十几万片，殷墟甲骨文忠实而严谨地记录了商代政治、经济、文化、社会等方方面面。
比如在科学技术领域，甲骨文对商代日食和月食均有明确记载；商代还有较为先进的阴阳合历历法，颇有利于农业生产；在医学方面，甲骨卜辞记载了许多疾病的情况和名目，对人类疾病有了一定的分类，甚至已经可以预测分娩时间……这镌刻在龟甲和兽骨上的一笔一画，呈现出殷商文明的灿若星河。
甲骨文是汉字的源头。汉字经甲骨文、金文、篆书、隶书、草书、楷书、行书一路变革，从未间断。在已知的世界四大古文字体系中，唯有以殷墟甲骨文为代表的中国古文字体系，穿越时空，将生命延续至今。
习近平总书记在致甲骨文发现和研究120周年的贺信中指出：“甲骨文是迄今为止中国发现的年代最早的成熟文字系统，是汉字的源头和中华优秀传统文化的根脉，值得倍加珍视、更好传承发展。”
几千年历史烟云，中华文明的灿烂和辉煌激发我们不断叩问“从哪里来、到哪里去”的深刻命题，探寻“何以中国”的时代答案。
“这段时间，我一直在思考推进中国特色社会主义文化建设、建设中华民族现代文明这个重大问题。”2023年6月2日，在文化传承发展座谈会上，习近平总书记指出，“只有全面深入了解中华文明的历史，才能更有效地推动中华优秀传统文化创造性转化、创新性发展，更有力地推进中国特色社会主义文化建设，建设中华民族现代文明。”
从一座博物馆到一场座谈会，建设中华民族现代文明有了清晰的目标和实现路径——
“五千多年的文明史，现在还在往前探源，我相信，我们的文明史更悠久。传到现在，要继续往下传。”
